The short version

StickerChart is a small, free, ad-free sticker chart for parents and teachers. We collect only what we need to run the service - your sign-in email, the board and child names you choose, and the stickers you award - and we never sell or share that data with third parties for advertising. Boards are accessible only via their unique link, and we tell search engines not to index any board page.

Who runs StickerChart

StickerChart is operated as a personal project. If you have any questions about this policy, your data, or want to exercise any of your rights below, email hello@stickerchart.app.

What we collect

  • Account data: the email address you use to sign in. This is the only personal detail we ask for.
  • Board content you create:the board name, each child's first name, age (optional), avatar emoji, accent colour, list of tasks, goal target, and goal reward.
  • Sticker activity: a row per sticker awarded - which child, which task (or that it was a bonus), which emoji, and when it was awarded. We use this to render the chart and compute totals.
  • Technical data: a session cookie issued by our auth provider so you stay signed in. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we collect it

Account data is used only to authenticate you. Board content and sticker activity are used to provide the service - to render your chart, sync it across your devices in real time, and let other people you share the link with view it. We don't use any of this data for advertising or profiling.

Where it's stored

Data is stored in a Supabase project hosted in the EU (London region). Magic-link sign-in emails are sent through Resend. Both are GDPR-aware processors operating under standard data-processing agreements.

Who else can see your data

  • You, when signed in.
  • Anyone with your board's share linkcan view (but not edit) the chart. Treat the link the way you'd treat a fridge photo.
  • No third parties for advertising or analytics. We don't share, sell, or trade your data.

Search engines are explicitly told not to index any /board/ or /dashboard pages via robots.txt and per-page noindex meta tags.

Children's data

StickerChart is intended to be used about children by parents, teachers, and carers - not bychildren directly. Only the adult creating the board holds the account. We collect the minimum needed: a first name, optional age, and the tasks the adult has decided to track. We don't collect surnames, photos, location, contact details, or any other identifying information about children.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie for authentication, set by our auth provider when you sign in. We don't set any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner to dismiss.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask for a portable copy. Most of these you can do yourself by signing in - you can edit any board content directly, and we're adding self-serve account deletion soon. In the meantime, email hello@stickerchart.app and we'll action any request within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

How long we keep things

We keep your account and board content for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete all related data within 30 days, with the exception of anything we're required to retain for legal reasons (we don't currently retain anything for that reason).

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be flagged in the app.
